Wine

The Australian wine industry boasts more than 60 wine regions.

Our Wine Collection is sourced from many of these rich and diverse wine regions. We aspire to source all wine types—from reds, whites, fortified, sweet to sparkling. All our wines pair well with food and are best enjoyed with other people.

The Living Pure Wine Collection is fastidiously sourced from wine growers and wine makers across this vast continent to create excellent wines. Each of our wines have a unique story to tell about the region and vineyard that it was grown, the climate and soil type, the grape variety, vine management techniques and ripening times.

As one of the new world’s foremost wine producing nations, Australia is truly unique because of the climate and soils it enjoys.  The sixth largest country by total area, Australia has some of the oldest geology and most complex soils in the world, and is so vast that almost every climate and soil type can be found.  This places Australia in the enviable position of being able to produce all of the major wine types, from sparkling to red and white wines, as well as sweet and fortified wines, many of them highly acclaimed and world-renowned – Australian wines have won medals at almost every major international wine competition.

The main wine producing regions of Australia are found in the cooler south east of the country and are typically centred along the coastline.  With more than 60 wine-producing regions, it is the vineyards of South Australia (including the Barossa and Clare Valleys, Coonawarra and McLaren Vale), Victoria (Yarra Valley, Rutherglen) and New South Wales (Hunter Valley, Riverina) that produce most of Australia’s wine, with Tasmania, Queensland and southwest Western Australia (Margaret River and Swan District, north-east of Perth) also producing wines of great quality and acclaim.

Presently, the Living Pure range of wines are sourced from South Australia, with a focus on the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Coonawarra and Limestone Coast wine regions – regions that are synonymous with Riesling, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon – varieties that are all suited to South Australia’s climate (typically warm days and cool nights during the ripening months) and widely varying soils (from relatively low-fertility clay loam through to more sandy soils).

Living Pure work collaboratively with a négociant (merchant) winery based in Melbourne, Victoria, to source only the finest fruit from the most optimal vineyard sites in these regions to produce elegant and sophisticated wines of the highest quality that are suited both to immediate enjoyment and longer-term cellaring.  It is through this relationship with our négociant winery that Living Pure is able to oversee all aspects of the wine production, from which regions and vineyards the fruit is sourced, to the quality of the fruit, and ultimately the sophisticated winemaking techniques that are employed to make our fine wines so special.

Consistent with our values of purity, balance, harmony and beauty, the Living Pure range of wines encapsulate the environments from where the fruit is grown – where the air is fresh, the water clean, and the earth tended with care – and are a true expression of pure living through clean agriculture at harmony with the environment.  In keeping with these values and with sensibility in mind, Living Pure recommends that our wines always be enjoyed in moderation with family or friends, accompanied by food, and balanced with a healthy lifestyle including exercise and good eating.
